Save the date - CHEX Conference 2021: Health Issues in the Community

2nd & 3rd March 2021 - Menu of workshops over two days

Join us for our online conference to explore the impact of Health Issues in the Community across Scotland. HIIC is a course that helps people understand what affects their health and the health of their communities.

Running for more than 20 years, HIIC brings a community development approach to tackling health inequalities. Managed by CHEX and run by local tutors, HIIC reaches more than 300 participants each year.

This conference will be a chance to find out more about HIIC, learn from the tutors who deliver it and hear from the participants who have used HIIC to improve the health and wellbeing of their own communities.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, online methods such as video-conferencing have been used to continue the delivery of HIIC. At a time when the impact of inequality on health and wellbeing has never been clearer, it is increasingly important that communities are supported to have a voice in changing things for the better. HIIC does this.

Following our opening event, you'll be able to attend our highly participative sessions over the two days, with recordings of each input and workshop posted online minutes after they're finished so you don't miss a thing.

Join our mailing list and hear the latest about this conference as the programme develops and be the first to register for our brilliant workshops early next year.
