CHEX is inviting any network members with a social enterprise element to their work to apply to have their services added to a programme of activities around mental health which will be on offer as part of the Pockets and Prospects pilot starting in November 2020.

What’s Pockets and Prospects?

As part of the Scottish Community Alliance’s community sector network, SENScot, SCHW and CHEX are collaborating on this pilot project to address the mental health and wellbeing challenges faced within local communities as a result of Covid-19.

The pilot will enable 15 community organisations across Scotland (who have now been confirmed) to tap into a wide range of mental health & wellbeing focused activities and services supplied by social enterprises and third sector organisations. The purpose of this is to support community organisations in addressing emerging mental health & wellbeing needs within their community.

The fundamental premise is that we are producing a ‘programme of activities’ - or a menu - which will be available for community-based organisations to purchase from. All the activities and services will aim to address mental health & wellbeing needs – these could be in relation to the needs of community-based organisations’ workforce, the people who access their services or the wider community.

This will be a ‘pick and mix’ programme offering a diverse range of activities which aim to address the local needs identified and should consider the additional support and opportunities the community-based organisations require in order to successfully address their local issues.

How do we get added to the menu?

We would like to invite any CHEX network members to complete the ‘suppliers template’ (click here to download Word document) if they offer activities/services that could be included in this programme of activities. Once you have completed the template, please send it on (preferably by email) to SENScot before the end of Friday 20th November 2020. See contact details below.
