Strathcarron Hospice
/Strathcarron Hospice was established in 1981. Our mission is that "Everything we do in our community, is for our community, and with our community, to enable people to live and die well".
We are a voluntary sector run hospice and over two thirds of our funding comes from the communities and people we serve.
We host 24 in-patient beds but the vast majority of our work is in the community.
Compassionate Communities is one of our in-house teams with a focus on working in and with the local community and voluntary sector. Our team works in partnership with a broad range of community partners to help build compassionate communities and to encourage people to feel confident to have conversations about illness, death, grief and living well.
Conversations and community support are key to enabling people to cope and recover from the difficult experiences which we all have to face.
