Healthy Valleys
/Healthy Valleys is a community-led health initiative dedicated to reducing health inequalities in rural South Lanarkshire.
We provide high-quality services that aim to preserve and protect the mental and physical health of individuals, families, and communities. By focusing on our key themes, we strive to improve lives and build resilience through early intervention, opportunities for skill development, and access to additional support when needed.
Our themes are:
Early Years: supporting families from bump to baby and beyond, delivering intensive 1:1 support and educational parenting programmes for women throughout pregnancy and families with children under 5.
Mental Health & Wellbeing: supporting adults to build independence, increase their confidence, and improve their mental health while addressing issues of isolation through intensive 1:1 support and group work.
Community Food & Nutrition: helping communities to become more connected, well-nourished, and thrive. We address food poverty, social isolation, and loneliness through activities and opportunities that enhance physical health and wellbeing.
