Over 50 HIIC tutors, participants, young people and other community-led health folks gathered together to share good practice, learn from some useful, practical examples of HIIC in action, and find out more about the lasting impact of HIIC where it is used to spark a healthier future for people and their communities.
We heard from HIIC tutors from different parts of Scotland on the myriad ways in which HIIC can be used as a catalyst for community action with adults and young people.
There were sessions on practical support for the delivery of HIIC; getting participants their HIIC qualifications, and guidance on the use of AI, as well as a creative activity for gathering learning and ideas, involving cardboard, sticky tape and lots of coloured pens!
It was a packed and busy day as we had a lot to discuss and share about the huge amount of hard work from the amazing people across sectors and throughout Scotland who make Health Issues In the Community such a long-standing and successful programme. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a fab event.
