North Glasgow Community Food Initiative is a key voluntary sector organisation delivering practical healthy lifestyle activities within our Food Hub areas.

Post 1: Milton Food Hub Co-ordinator

This role is to co-ordinate and inspire community-based activities promoting the importance of fresh food and healthier eating. Maintain the local Food Hub group, in partnership with local organisations. To run workshops in basic nutrition. 

Using community work and food related skills you will engage the community in activities that improve health and wellbeing and address food poverty. You will empower local people to lead and influence the planning and delivery of local related activities. 

  • Salary: £22,556 pro-rata
  • Salary info: 21 hours/ week (pro-rata) to 31.03.19
  • Status; Part time

Post 2: Springburn Food Hub Co-ordinator

This role is to co-ordinate and inspire community-based activities promoting the importance of fresh food and healthier eating. Co-ordination of community meals and ensuring edible food waste reaches those in need. Running workshops on food miles & food waste in schools in Springburn. Creating / maintaining the local Food Hub group, in partnership with local organisations.

Using community work and food related skills you will engage the community in activities that improve health and wellbeing. You will empower local people to lead and influence the planning and delivery of local related activities.

  • Salary: £22,556 pro-rata
  • Salary info: 10.5 hours/ week (pro-rata) 31.03.20
  • Status: Part time
  • Closing: 9th July 2018
  • Location: Glasgow
