MSPs pass Community Empowerment Bill

The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Bill, has been passed at Stage 3 following a debate in the Scottish Parliament. 

The vote took place on 17th June, with 101 MSPs backing the legislation and 15 abstaining,

The Bill provides a framework which aims to empower community bodies through the ownership of land and buildings, strengthen community voices in the decisions that matter to them and improve the process of community planning.
