Last minute spaces for Glasgow workshop on Community Empowerment Act

Some last minute spaces have come up at a workshop on the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act we've organised  with North West Glasgow Voluntary Sector Network.

Workshop details

The workshop is taking place THIS Wednesday (28th Feb 2018), 1-4pm with lunch at 12:30.

It will be held at Good, Buchanan Galleries, 220 Buchanan St, G1 2FF

This is a chance to find out what the Act contains and how community–led health organisations and other groups they work with can make use of it in order to take forward the sorts of things they want to do. As well as providing a general overview, the workshop will introduce you to:

  • How community organisations can use participation requests to start a dialogue with public bodies, including health boards and local authorities, about things that matter to them.
  • Changes to community planning and how community groups might be able to have their voice heard.
  • Provisions around asset transfer and community right to buy land.

If you would like to attend please contact Andrew Paterson at CHEX on 0141 222 4837 or email

Note: there are only limited spaces at the event so please get in touch as soon as you can if you want to attend.
