CHEX Conference 2019 - See what we've got lined up

The day will be a great opportunity to explore how community-led health organisations can use human rights in their work improving health, addressing inequalities and making a difference to communities across Scotland.

We've now got more to share about the day and there's loads lined up:
  • Our conference chair will be Iain Stewart from community-led health organisation Edinburgh Community Health Forum

  • Judith Robertson, Chair of the Scottish Human Rights Commission will be sharing her insights in the future of human rights in Scotland.

  • Freedom from Torture Scotland will be running a workshops around their work and human rights.

  • Inclusion Scotland will running a workshop and sharing their insights on disabled people's rights.

  • We'll be hearing from a Health Issues in the Community group from Douglas, Dundee - Performing their play 'She Died Waiting' - a really moving piece of drama exploring self-harm and suicide.

  • West Cromwell Street, Persevere & Citadel Courts Residents Association will be along to talk about their experiences using human rights based approaches in the housing sector. 

  • We'll be exploring the asset tranfers, participation requests and more with a workshop on the implications of Community Empowerment Act for community-led organisations.
  • And much more!
