Action Research Launch Event

Launch of a new guide Action Research in the Community (ARC) from Scottish Community Development Centre and Education Scotland - with examples and findings from the Scottish Natural Heritage action research programme People and nature: learning through doing.This guide is based on the learning and experience of SCDC in supporting a large number of community groups through the action research process, including the Learning through Doing projects.

The event will provide insight into the experiences of the ‘People and nature: learning through doing' projects who have undertaken action research and lived to tell the tale! These groups will be on hand with materials from their research projects.

Learning from these projects about what works in practice when engaging disadvantaged groups with nature and the outdoors - and the social benefits this can bring.
