A number of Healthy Living Initiatives in the Central belt and West Coast have reported that Health Boards, Community Health Partnerships (CHPs)and Local Authorities are not willing to adequately fund or even endorse their work. Despite the fact that local health organisations are able to demonstrate their effectiveness, efficiency and added value for the community. In some instances the statutory sector organisations are advertising similar posts to that of the community health initiatives. Have community health initiatives run their course?
