CHEX-Point Editorial Board

The CHEX-Point Editorial Board meets quarterly to decide on content for the CHEX-Point Newsletter.  As the Newsletter is the main vehicle to profile good practice and raise issues in relation to the policy agenda, the Board attracts a mixture of interests in health improvement and community development.  Editions of CHEX-Point can often be built around a single theme identified by the Board (e.g. the summer 2009 edition focused on the social enterprise model) but, equally, some issues follow a standard magazine format covering a range of topics, again identified by the Board.  Once proposed articles are prioritised, relevant people throughout CHEX Network/s and different health agencies are invited to write the articles.  From time to time, unsolicited articles are submitted and these are discussed for relevance and quality.

CHEX-Point is currently distributed to approximately 2,000 subscribers, although the publication is widely circulated thereafter and has a final readership well in advance of this figure.  Our readership typically includes community health initiatives, voluntary organisations, NHS staff, local authorities, researchers and interested individuals.
